We are celebrating our FFA Scholarship winners! For the past several years, Middletown Tractor and John Deere have teamed up to provide two students with $2000 scholarships to college.

Today, we'd like to highlight our West Virginia & Pennsylvania FFA scholarship winners, Garrett & Haley!
 
A graduate from South Harrison High School, Garrett is our West Virginia FFA Scholarship winner, and will be attending West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV for a degree in Pharmaceutical Science. He hopes to go on to receive his doctorate in the field as well as to become a youth pastor. 


"When I was a scared and nervous freshman, I had no intention in joining the FFA. After much persuasion from my Ag. teacher, I reluctantly joined. I am convinced that there is no other youth organization that teaches students such magnificent leadership, communication skills, and hard work than the FFA. It has done so much for me! It means that much more to receive a scholarship from National FFA and Middletown Tractor."

When asked what he was looking forward to, Garrett said, "I look forward to God using me to make a difference in the lives of young people through His Word and also make a positive difference in the pharmaceutical industry."

Haley is a graduate from H G Parkinson-Fort Cherry High School in McDonald, PA, and is studying Atmospheric Sciences at Pennsylvania State University: Penn State Erie-Behr. She hopes to pursue a career in Meteorology.


"I love Penn State so far and I am so grateful for all the opportunities and friendships it has gave me! I can’t wait to take further classes to learn more about meteorology and how it affects the world of agriculture!"


We are proud of both Haley and Garret for their involvement in FFA, and continued interest in agriculture and our communities! Good luck to you both on your studies and future careers!
