Service Technician Jobs at Middletown Tractor Sales

We currently have four dealerships located in Buckhannon, WV, Fairmont, WV, Washington, PA and Uniontown, PA. We sell John Deere equipment, and our business is growing! We are seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our team. The preferred applicant will be a dynamic individual with advanced organizational skills and a strong ability to retain information. Must work well with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment
• Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
• May perform diagnosis and repair in the field
• Performs all other tasks as directed by the Shop Foreman or Service Manager

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs
• Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Understand schematics and equipment manuals
• Self starter and self motivated
• Hands on learning
• Must enjoy getting dirty and laughing with others
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
